
MUSA offers three programs within our preschool. We offer a school year program, before and after preschool care, and a summer program. All of these programs are for ages 3 -5 (before Kindergarten) years old. All programs are located in the Steel Rivers COG Building in Room 203. Our address is 1705 Maple Street in Homestead.
Programs
Preschool (School Year)
The preschool follows The Creative Curriculum, which focuses on exploration and discovery learning through large and small group instruction, socialization, formative assessments, and correlating lessons. This allows us to implement language and literacy, mathematics, social studies, imaginative play and physical activity. Units and structured lessons are developmentally appropriate and include daily circle time where the students are taught phonological awareness, problem solving skills, motor skills, and much more!
This program offers:
- Breakfast, Lunch, & Snack
- Indoor/Outdoor Play Areas
- a Keystone STARS Level 2 Certification
- 10:1 Teacher/student ratio
- Raising a Reader Literacy Program
- Community Partnerships
Time: 6am. - 6pm (Monday-Friday), closed on major holidays
Cost:
Part-Time (1-3 Days):$75 per week or Child Care Works Accepted
Full-Time (4 or 5 days): $110 per week or Child Care Works Accepted
Before and After School Care
We offer part-time care for children that attend other classrooms within the Steel Rivers COG Building. This allows parents to drop their children off as early as 6:00 A.M. and pick them up as late as 6:00 P.M. Our staff will walk the child to their other classroom for 8:30 A.M., and pick them up when their class is dismissed.
This program offers:
- Snack
- Kindergarten Readiness
- Free Play
- Small Group Instruction
Time: 6am - 8:30am & 1:30pm - 6pm (Monday-Friday), closed on major holidays
Cost: $75 per week or Child Care Works Accepted
Summer Program
Our summer program provides a positive learning environment that helps bridge the gap between school years. We offer structured daily lessons, two field trips, and:

- Indoor/Outdoor Play Areas
- a Keystone STARS Level 2 Certification
- 10:1 Teacher/student ratio
- Raising a Reader Literacy Program
- Community Partnerships
Time: 6am – 6pm (Monday – Friday), closed on major holidays
